This song wrote itself directly after I watched a balloon float into the sky and drift out of sight. I was standing in the driveway of a rented basement suite on Formby Street in Burnaby, BC. It was the spring of 2010. I never saw who released the balloon. In the music video for this song, I released a balloon into the sky. It probably suffocated a seagull a few hours later. Maybe even a sea turtle. I probably shouldn't have released the balloon.
