Kind of a hopeful ditty. A bright future sort of song. A truth or a lie. I could say it's inspired by looking at my little nephews, but that wouldn't be entirely true. I could say it's not inspired by observing young people, but that would be a lie.
The music video was filmed primarily in St. John's, Newfoundland during my cross Canada music tour in summer 2016.

BOY WITH THE STARS IN HIS EYES
See the boy with the stars in his eyes
Over-joyed, gazing far into the sky
Nature's child
Dreaming of deep blue oceans
He's in love with that sweet breeze blowing
Spirit's wild
Smile child, your heart is full of light
The future's yours and it's oh so bright
Climb upon a rainbow, kiss the golden sun
Paradise, the state of mind to keep the spirit young
And oh, what a joy it is to be young.

Follow your heart, keep on dreaming
Always start with believing
Dreams come true
Facing the far, wide open sky
Don't let the stars fall from your eyes
Let them be a part of you
Smile child, your heart is full of light
The future's yours and it's oh so bright
