DOWN SOUTH Well, they asked me, "Where's your woman?" I said, "She went down South" Things had got a little cold 'round here So she went down South Then they asked me, "Where you going?" I said, "I'm heading down South." See, me lover, she went away And we still had a few more words to say. Down South where I will find the sun I'm going South 'cause she's the only one Down South where I'll find the warm blue ocean Looking for the girl with the love potion Got a call a few hours ago And I still have many more miles to get down South Now I know love is a guarantee My woman's warmed up, she's waiting for me down South Down South where I will find the sun I'm going South 'cause she's the only one Down South where I'll find the warm blue ocean Looking for the girl with the love potion (c) Mike Mountain 2012

BOOT HILL BLUES I'm going to Tombstone, baby, Tombstone here I come Tombstone, baby, Tombstone here I come I've got a Colt 45 and an empty bottle of rum Gonna be a gunfight, baby, at the O.K. Corral Gunfight, baby, at the O.K. Corral I ain't missing it for nothing, no way, no how They say all gunfighters live in fear of the end All gunfighters live in fear of the end They die without a dime, a woman, or a friend Boot Hill, baby, Boot Hill's the end of the line Boot Hill, baby, Boot Hill's the end of the line It's them or me, and I don't feel like dying Tombstone, baby, Tombstone here I come Tombstone, baby, here I come I've got a Colt 45 and an empty bottle of rum (c) Bob Westfall 2012

I SIT ALONE I sit alone, all by myself, thinking 'bout life, thinking 'bout you I sit alone with a cool, cool buzz, thinking 'bout living And what I'm gonna do I know things will go on the same way if you let em' So why not seize the day, get busy livin', busy lovin' No time for pushin', no time for shovin', no no no I sit alone, I sit alone But I got it all figured out I sit alone, I sit alone But I got it all figured out They say action speaks louder than words I speak your language, the language of love I'm weighing options and calling your name 'Cause I don't always wanna play that game, no no I sit alone, I sit alone But I got it all figured out I sit alone, I sit alone But I got it all figured out (c) Mike Mountain 2012

TALKIN' CRUMB GOBBLER BLUES I was driving West on Texas 71 Burning up the Lexus in the Texas sun An hour from Austin, the day near done I saw a sign that said, "Cold Beer Sold Here." I figured, what's a fella to do Thought I'd stop and have a brew Found a table at Peter's BBQ Across from Handsome Molly and her mother, so dear. Handsome Molly got married last summer There she sat, saying, "What a bummer.. 30 years old and not getting any younger" She said, "If I wanna have a baby, now's the time to do it." She was sitting there chopping up a plumb cobbler Talkin' 'bout' popping out a crumb gobbler Dreaming of cleaning up toddler slobber She said, "I've got a husband, and I know how to use it." Handsome Molly was quite the looker She would have made a mighty fine hooker If she wasn't tied down, I'd have took her For a long joyride in my Lexus. It was then I remembered I was in the Bible Belt That caused my smile to melt For if Molly knew what was on my mind, well She'd probably call me a sexist swine Hell, with thoughts like mine, I just can't win Every thought in my mind's a genuine sin There's no use lying. I might as well begin To walk the path of the Heavenly Father Maybe then I'd get a woman like Molly Twice as handsome and three times jolly With a little luck, me and Pretty Polly We'd have ourselves seven crumb gobblers. I was driving West on Texas 71 Burning up the Lexus in the Texas sun An hour from Austin, the day near done I saw a sign that said, "Cold Beer Sold Here." (c) Bob Westfall 2012

WELCOME BACK Well, I woke up this morning What did I see? An image from the past looking back at me I said, "Hey, where you been for the last five years?" "Drownin' myself in women and beer." But I'm back. I'm back to stay Darkness has faded and there's a new light today But I'm back. I'm back to stay Darkness has faded and there's a new light today I lost my confidence, I lost my cool I nearly lost my life and I was such a fool Forgetting what I had was the only disease But I fought off my confusion, I'm feeling at ease But I'm back. I'm back to stay Darkness has faded and there's a new light today But I'm back. I'm back to stay Darkness has faded and there's a new light today (c) Mike Mountain 2012

2 OR 3 BLUES If I run around with other pretty girls If I untie their pretty little curls It doesn't mean that I don't love you It doesn't mean that I don't love you It just means I wanna be free to have me two or three It doesn't mean that I don't love you If your buddy Steve sees me on the drive If he tells you, tell him I say "hi" It doesn't mean that I don't love you It doesn't mean that I don't love you It just means I wanna be free to have me two or three It doesn't mean that I don't love you Well, if you get mad and say you're gonna leave That's alright with me, I've got some tricks up my sleeve It doesn't mean that I don't love you It doesn't mean that I don't love you It just means I wanna be free to have me two or three It doesn't mean that I don't love you (c) Bob Westfall 2012

THE HOBO SONG How I'd love to be a hobo and live in a shack A little run-down shanty by an old railroad track The rumble of a midnight train to rock me as I dream Asleep by the light of a silvery moonbeam I'd forsake everything I own to travel this land Harmonica in my pocket and a guitar in my hand How I'd love to be a hobo and bum on down the line Spending what I ain't got on women and wine Playing my hand in poker games, dealing stud Passing out and waking up face down in the mud I'd forsake everything I own to travel this land Harmonica in my pocket and a guitar in my hand How I'd love to be a hobo and live by my own rules I wouldn't answer to anyone or be nobody's fool To feel the ground beneath my feet, knowing that I'm free To walk the walk and talk the talk sounds alright by me I'd forsake everything I own to travel this land Harmonica in my pocket and a guitar in my hand How I'd love to be a hobo, a real rambling man Got no interest, ain't my business being a family man I'd be drifting 'round singing the hobo's lullaby 'Till the day I climb aboard that freight train in the sky I'd forsake everything I own to travel this land Harmonica in my pocket and a guitar in my hand (c) Bob Westfall 2012

LOST IN MY MIND I've been lost in my mind for a while I've been lost in my mind Thinking 'bout the days gone by with a smile I've been lost in my mind I've been thinking 'bout my life for a time Friends and family and a song full of rhyme Got a lover and I'm sure to discover There will be no other, everything is so sublime These lyrics woke me up and I had to write them down Sometimes I wonder whey they keep on coming around Is it a gift or curse? I guess it could be much, much worse I will keep on writing 'til I end up in a hearse I've been lost in my mind for a while I've been lost in my mind Thinking 'bout the days gone by with a smile I've been lost in my mind (c) Mike Mountain 2012

MEET ME IN TEXAS Meet me in Texas in the middle of May I'll be in Houston, counting the days Until, my love, we're together again And our lonely hearts can at last mend Too gone too long is no way to be It's hard for love to grow with an ocean between You in your world, me in mine We keep trying to make our love light shine Maybe too much time has passed Maybe I've been living too fast Maybe I did not try enough Now I'm in Texas, blue as the sky above Now I'm in Texas, blue as the sky above (c) Bob Westfall 2012

THE KID Let me tell you a story About a crazy kid and what he wanted to do He never listened, baby, he'd do the crazy things he'd do You see he wants to find a lover unlike any other But he was quick to discover that to find another lover Wouldn't prove too kind He needed help from the man in the sky But he just couldn't reach that high Trail was dark and he wanted to see He said, "Show me a light and won't you please guide me? Oh, you've got to guide me." He started to carry out his searching He searched all night and day To find a lover he could call his own He'd be a king, though he don't have a thrown There's got to be a better way if he has something to say But he was quick to discover that to find a better way Wouldn't prove too kind He needed help from the man in the sky But he just couldn't reach that high Trail was dark and he wanted to see He said, "Show me a light and won't you please guide me? Oh, you've got to guide me." And then one day it happened Love, it walked his way Sometimes you'll find if you open your mind Love will come to stay He needed help from the man in the sky But he just couldn't reach that high Trail was dark and he wanted to see He said, "Show me a light and won't you please guide me? Oh, you've got to guide me." (c) Mike Mountain 2012

SAIL AWAY WITH ME There is freedom on the ocean There is freedom on the open sea Tell me baby, will you sail away with me? Into the great wide open To the great wide ocean There's room for you in my paradise for two Feel the breeze blowing, feel freedom flowing Deep down you're knowing this was meant to be We'll be midnight moonlight dancing, lovers romancing If you take a chance and sail away with me There is freedom on the ocean There is freedom on the open sea Tell me baby, will you sail away with me? about

Westfall Mountain is Bob Westfall (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and Mike Mountain (guitar and vocals). Bob sings the songs he writes, and Mike sings the songs he writes. This particular album features Brandon Williams on mandolin.

This entire album was recorded live in a basement in North Delta, BC, on June 30, 2012. It's an organic and natural recording; no auto tune and no click tracks. It's just three buzzed guys sitting in a circle and playing songs together with microphones in front of them. Plenty of beers and a couple of pizzas made their way downstairs throughout the recording process. Bass and banjo overdubs were recorded by Bob a few days after the basic tracks were captured. The album was mastered by Neil Lambertsen in Vancouver.

Both Bob and Mike have solo albums of their own songs.

Westfall Mountain hopes you will enjoy the unpolished acoustic feel of their debut album. Their sophomore album will be released by the end of 2019. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears unlocked. Viva Westfall Mountain!
